A busy highway runs through the center of Dundee making this commercial project particularly challenging. We wanted to create a quiet space away from the traffic for wine visitors to enjoy regional cuisine and wines. Our solution was to create a storefront structure placed as near the street as possible to support the idea of a small town main street while tucking the parking and a quiet courtyard on the interior of the site. As a further nod to establishing a commercial Main Street, we designed the building with tall walls and deep recessed openings.
